Request Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of specific data types from your DZPay account without deleting your entire account. This allows you to maintain access to the app while removing specific information you no longer want us to retain.

How to Request Data Deletion

To request deletion of specific data, please send an email to our support team with details about which data categories you want to delete.

Please include in your email:

  • Your registered email address
  • Which specific data categories you want to delete
  • Reason for deletion (optional, but helpful for our records)

Data Categories That Can Be Deleted

You can request deletion of the following data categories:

📋 Personal Information

Name, address, phone number, date of birth, and other personal identifiers

💳 Payment Preferences

Payment methods, billing addresses, saved payment cards (note: activity records may be retained for legal compliance)

📊 Activity History

Personal exchange activity records and marketplace history (subject to legal retention requirements)

⚙️ App Preferences

App settings, notification preferences, language settings, and other user preferences

📱 Device Data

Device IDs, device information, push notification tokens, and device-specific settings

🚫 Data That Cannot Be Deleted

Due to legal and regulatory requirements, certain data cannot be deleted:

  • Activity records required by law (retained for up to 7 years)
  • Exchange activity records for tax and regulatory compliance
  • Security logs and fraud prevention data
  • Data required for ongoing legal proceedings or investigations

These records are retained in a secure, encrypted format and are only used for legal compliance purposes.

Processing Time

Once we receive and verify your data deletion request:

  • Within 30 days: Your requested data will be deleted from our active systems. We will send you a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

Note: Some data may be retained in backup systems for a limited period, but will be permanently deleted in accordance with our data retention policy.

What Happens After Deletion

  • Your account will remain active and accessible
  • Deleted data cannot be recovered
  • You may need to re-enter certain information if you want to use related features
  • You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete
